Valentine's Day is all about spreading love and sweetness, and what better way to do so than with a giant lollipop filled with goodies?
Here's what you'll need for this DIY project:
1. Two plastic bowls, medium or large: These will serve as the base of your giant lollipop.
2. Hot glue gun: Use it to securely attach the handle.
3. Broomstick, wooden dowel, or plunger stick: This will be the lollipop's handle.
4. Paint or spray paint: Choose your loved one's favorite colors to personalize the lollipop.
5. Ribbon: Decorative ribbon to tie around the lollipop's handle.
6. Tape: Use it to secure the two bowls.
7. Confetti: Add a touch of sparkle and surprise by sprinkling confetti into the lollipop.
8. Cellophane wrap (clear) and wrapping paper: Wrap the lollipop with clear cellophane to protect it, and then wrap it again with colorful Valentine's Day themed wrapping paper.
Now, let's put it all together!
Step 1: Use the hot glue gun to attach the handle. You can create a hole with the hot glue gun to insert the handle into the bowl for more security. Be mindful, if the plastic is thick, this won't work, you will instead, crack the bowl.
Step 3: Paint or spray paint the lollipop in the desired colors. Please note, that if you chose to spray paint the handle, you will need to let it air out for quite some time. we wrapped the handle with ribbon, however, this step is optional.
Step 4: Fill the bowls with candy, makeup, nails, lashes, lip gloss, gift cards, or any other surprises you may have chosen. Since this was for my daughters friend, we chose all girly stuff.
Step 5: Sprinkle some confetti into the bowls for an extra festive touch.
Step 6: Tape the second bowl over the bowl filled with the treats, creating a lollipop shape. Make sure all sides are secure.
Step 7 : Wrap the entire lollipop with wrapping paper. We chose pink wrapping paper, to create a lollipop-like look. Twist the ending of the paper around the handle and secure with tape.
Step 8: Finally, wrap the lollipop with clear cellophane wrap.
And BOOM, your DIY Giant Valentine's Day Lollipop is ready for your loved one! Now it's time to watch their face light up with a big smile!
